Conversation Starters: Tools and Strategies

In this interactive session, participants will work directly with specific tools and strategies to enhance their ability to guide advance care planning conversations with patients, clients, and families. Topics will include: overcoming discussion barriers, negotiating conflict, helping people understand aspects of an effective health care agent, and facilitating consideration of values to help ensure people receive the care they want.
