This one hour, online video training aims for the participants to understand the history of the opioid epidemic and where we are today in the effect it has on our communities. Learn to assist patients with Opioid Use Disorder and be knowledgeable of alternative treatments for patients experiencing pain. CME Available*

• Position neuromodulation in the spectrum of advanced pain management therapies
• Acknowledge the barriers to access of advanced pain therapies

Lawrence Poree

MD, PhD

Dr. Lawrence Poree is a pain medicine specialist with expertise in using the latest

interventional techniques to control pain with less reliance on oral medications. He is

particularly interested in managing pain and restoring function through neuromodulation,

technology that delivers electrical stimulation or medication to targeted areas in the body.

 

Poree earned his Master of Public Health degree at the University of California, Berkeley,

where he also earned a doctoral degree in toxicology. He then completed post doctorate

studies in biomedical engineering at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He earned his

medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine, where he completed a

residency in anesthesiology. He completed a fellowship in pain management at UCSF.

 

Poree serves on the boards of the North American Neuromodulation Society and International

Neuromodulation Society. He is also the Vice President of the Institute of Neuromodulation.
