Synopsis:
Understanding the current systems in which you use ICD-9 will direct you in the processes and systems that will need to update to ICD-10. Some of those systems and processes are:
• Clinical documentation
• Encounter forms or "superbills"
• Practice Management (Billing) System
• Electronic health record (EHR or EMR)
• Quality Reporting
• Public Health Reporting
• Contracts

We will discuss things to consider with each of the above, and questions to ask throughout your practice. We will provide a decision tree / flow chart to help.
